走向_______

地質學常以「走向」作為對象物的相對方位說明，賦予抽象的空間維度東、西、南、北等指稱，同時也顯示自身所觀看的位置；以地圖而言，經緯度上不只顯示了地形地貌的走向，輔助釐清走位、導航等實用性功能，更是智識美學與權力的顯現，反映製圖者的世界觀、宇宙觀、宗教與政治意圖。如何界定世界的中心，也意味著自身所處版圖上的自我定位與眼界。今日數位媒體所帶來超越傳統感官知能的體驗與想像，常見以科技介入劇場、社會介入演出，呈現藝術面對現實環境、社會、歷史的觀察與省思。透過藝術的提示，彷彿預言一般，直指當下、遙想過去、投射未來，引領觀眾走向何方？

走向藝術，走向國際

預言，一般來說並不是透過科學規律對未來所做的計算與假說，而是指以超乎常人的直覺力、眼光，指向未知的未來。在這裡的「走向」，意味著洞見趨勢或動向，藉以藝術節當下，探尋藝術的未來。今年度由臺藝大發起以「走向_______」為題的2019大觀國際表演藝術節，以科技為引，探求藝術跨越不同領域、打開多向度合作，回應藝術的走向與趨勢。臺藝大以啟動觀者的感官能全方位定位系統，為藝術導航，走向 藝術 、走向 未來 新航道。

Towards________

“Towards” indicates the relative orientation of an object in geology, endowing the abstract space dimensions with the indicators of east, west, south, and north and at the same time suggesting the location of the viewer himself. In terms of the map, besides the longitude and latitude, it not only has the practical functions of showing the landforms and assisting in clarifying positioning and navigation but also manifests the intellectual aesthetics and power and reflects the drafter’s world view, universe view, and religious and political intentions. How to define the center of the world also means the self-positioning and vision on one’s territory. Today the digital media have brought the experience and imagination surpassing the traditional sensory perceptions. The common case is the intervention of technology in theater or the intervention of society in performance, presenting the observation and reflection when art encounters the real environment, society, and history. The clue of art, like the prediction, points at the present, recollects the past, and projects the future. Where does it lead the audience to?

Towards Art, Towards the World

Generally speaking, prediction is not the calculation and hypothesis about the future through the scientific pattern but the extraordinary instinct and vision pointed at the unknown future. Here “towards” means the insight into the trend or movement and the exploration of the future of art through the arts festival. This year National Taiwan University of Arts launches 2019 DAGUAN Performing Arts Festival with the title of “Towards.” Technology serves as the introduction to exploring art crossing the different fields and opening the multi-dimensional cooperation in response to the trend art moves towards. NTUA starts the viewers’ comprehensive positioning system of senses by navigating for art, walking towards art and moving towards the new channel in the future.
